Fluids

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is the use of applied mathematics, physics and computational software to visualize how a fluid/ fluids behave in a set of operating conditions.

CFD Simulations and Solutions for all Engineers

ANSYS® CFD will provide engineers with a comprehensive tool to solve complex fluid problems. With ANSYS® CFD, many design iterations can be done with advanced meshing and solver technologies in the user friendly ANSYS® Workbench platform.

Solve Complex Fluid Problems Quickly

With the robust meshing and solver technologies from ANSYS® CFD, engineers will be able to simulate complex problems quickly and effectively in a user-friendly environment. ANSYS® parallel meshing and ANSYS® High Performance Computing enables you to solve very complex and large CFD simulations — faster and at a lower cost. ANSYS® is optimized to run on the latest HPC architectures, including NVIDIA GPUs and Intel True Scale Fabric products and cloud based computing resources.

ANSYS Fluent Mosaic Technology

Automatically Combines Disparate Meshes with Polyhedral Elements for Fast, Accurate Flow Resolution Transitioning between varying types of mesh elements in complex geometries and flow tegimes has long been a major simulation challenge. ANSYS Mosaic technology meets this challenge by automatically connecting different types of meshes with general polyhedral elements. Poly-Hexcore, the first application of Mosaic technology, fills the bulk region with octree hexes, keeps a high-quality layered poly-prism mesh in the boundary layer and conformally connects these two meshes with general polyhedral elements. The resulting simulation is faster with greater solution accuracy while using less RAM.

It takes a convergence of numerous factors in a High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster to drive application performance as both computer power and software efficiency scale.

Testimonials

  • I would like to hereby express my vote of confidence in Qfinsoft, in their ability to service and provide a strong support to us as a company.  We have been a customer of Qfinsoft for over a year and I am pleased to compliment them on their impeccable service offered to us thus far

    - Nico Gunther, Powertech Transformers

  • Since the introduction of ANSYS, more students are using first principles and FEA to validate their designs. This year, more than 60% of the projects were using FEA as a standard approach for numerical calculation. This number shows the huge impact ANSYS, had on University of Pretoria. FEA is not anymore a specialised tool for few users but a standard engineering tool easily integrated in the design process.

    - Francesco Pietra, University of Pretoria

  • For their consulting, training and technical support, Qfinsoft (Pty) Ltd must be the first choice of any firm looking for CAE experts

    - Prof G Akdogan, Process Engineering, University of Stellenbosch

  • At Aerospace, we have successfully used the ANSYS suite of tools to design high-performance gas turbine engines. Throughout this program, Qfinsoft provided valuable support and assistance to accelerate the development of our models. Their accessibility, short-turn around times and willingness to go beyond what is expected make them an effective partner on our projects.
