Rocky DEM and ANSYS Integration Webinar: Multi-physics simulation - 22nd November

Webinar Info:

Get ready for our third DEM webinar. We’ll look at CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA coupling (Finite Element Analysis) between Rocky DEM and ANSYS simulation software.

Rocky DEM is fully integrated with the ANSYS suite of products with Workbench(™) platform, allowing users to easily perform parametric analysis, evaluating key design parameters and operational conditions in order to assess the equipment performance and help engineers make the right decision.

Subscribe to this webinar to learn more about ANSYS coupling and how it might be useful in your application.

This Webinar will cover everything you need to know about coupling Rocky DEM with ANSYS CFD and FEA:

 Thursday, November 22nd, 2018

Start Time:  3 PM SAST - South Africa Standard Time

PRESENTED BY: LUCILLA ALMEIDA

Lucilla holds a BE (Chemical) undergraduate degree, an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Nuclear engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She joined ESSS in 2008 and has spent 5 years applying CFD to solve common engineering problems in the oil and gas industry, working with turbulent and multiphase flow simulations. Since 2013, she’s been an Application Engineer for the Rocky DEM Business Unit supporting users, working on consultancy projects, and validating models implemented for CFD-DEM coupling.

Testimonials

  • I would like to hereby express my vote of confidence in Qfinsoft, in their ability to service and provide a strong support to us as a company.  We have been a customer of Qfinsoft for over a year and I am pleased to compliment them on their impeccable service offered to us thus far

    - Nico Gunther, Powertech Transformers

  • Since the introduction of ANSYS, more students are using first principles and FEA to validate their designs. This year, more than 60% of the projects were using FEA as a standard approach for numerical calculation. This number shows the huge impact ANSYS, had on University of Pretoria. FEA is not anymore a specialised tool for few users but a standard engineering tool easily integrated in the design process.

    - Francesco Pietra, University of Pretoria

  • For their consulting, training and technical support, Qfinsoft (Pty) Ltd must be the first choice of any firm looking for CAE experts

    - Prof G Akdogan, Process Engineering, University of Stellenbosch

  • At Aerospace, we have successfully used the ANSYS suite of tools to design high-performance gas turbine engines. Throughout this program, Qfinsoft provided valuable support and assistance to accelerate the development of our models. Their accessibility, short-turn around times and willingness to go beyond what is expected make them an effective partner on our projects.
