Ansys CFD Webinar Series: “CFD is not Rocket Science but we can also teach you that.”

Qfinsoft is offering an Ansys Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Training course for all engineers who are interested in taking up a challenge.  Attendees that attend all the days* will receive a free 30-day license to practice and perfect their skills learned in the course.  (*Limited to Southern African attendees only).

Ansys CFD products simulate fluid flow behaviour and can be used to model simple flow problems to complex applications like multiphase and combustion flow problems.  Ansys CFD products can be integrated with Ansys Mechanical and Ansys Electronics to provide comprehensive multi-physics solutions.

This webinar series will cover Ansys CFD simulation principles.  The webinar is designed to teach you how to set-up, solve and postprocess CFD problems using Ansys SpaceClaim and Ansys Fluent and gain insight into the flow behaviour of your application.

Come learn a new skill in this webinar and see for yourself that CFD is not Rocket Science!

  • A technical education and background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer is recommended but not mandatory.
  • An engineering degree is not required.

  4. Time: 12pm
  5. Duration: 120 min

Session 2: Ansys Fluent: Pre-processing and Solving

  1. Host: Qfinsoft Team
  2. Description: In the second session, you will learn how to define your fluid simulation problem in Ansys Fluent by selecting the appropriate physics models, materials and setting of the correct boundary conditions. This will be followed by showing the steps for calculating the solution.
  3. Date: 21st May
  4. Time: 12pm
  5. Duration: 120 min

Session 3: Ansys Fluent: Post Processing

  1. Host: Qfinsoft Team
  2. Description: In the last session, you will learn how post-process and interpret your simulation results. You will be taught how to create vector, contour and pathline plots. You will also be shown how to create animations and extract quantitative results from the simulation.
  3. Date: 28st May
  4. Time: 12pm
  5. Duration: 120 min

  • I would like to hereby express my vote of confidence in Qfinsoft, in their ability to service and provide a strong support to us as a company.  We have been a customer of Qfinsoft for over a year and I am pleased to compliment them on their impeccable service offered to us thus far

    - Nico Gunther, Powertech Transformers

  • Since the introduction of ANSYS, more students are using first principles and FEA to validate their designs. This year, more than 60% of the projects were using FEA as a standard approach for numerical calculation. This number shows the huge impact ANSYS, had on University of Pretoria. FEA is not anymore a specialised tool for few users but a standard engineering tool easily integrated in the design process.

    - Francesco Pietra, University of Pretoria

  • For their consulting, training and technical support, Qfinsoft (Pty) Ltd must be the first choice of any firm looking for CAE experts

    - Prof G Akdogan, Process Engineering, University of Stellenbosch

  • At Aerospace, we have successfully used the ANSYS suite of tools to design high-performance gas turbine engines. Throughout this program, Qfinsoft provided valuable support and assistance to accelerate the development of our models. Their accessibility, short-turn around times and willingness to go beyond what is expected make them an effective partner on our projects.
